iphone apps for the future

The iPhone celebrated its tenth birthday in June 2017. A new survey of what current iPhone users like and expect had some surprises. The survey was designed to celebrate the tenth year of the iPhone as well as give some direction for future iPhone app development to iPhone app developers.

The study involved 1,200 iPhone users in the United States. The group was representative of the U. S. market and was considered a consistent racial representation of future buyers. The group of test subjects was small but was selected to be representative of the future market.

The most starting a thing that the study produced was a preference for apps over voice activated personal assistants. This is big news for iPhone app development company and iPhone app developers considering the time and money that has been spent in putting Siri and Alexa in almost every device that is available.

The study indicates that the big companies pushing artificial intelligence and a nice voice to serve a person's voice command have not resonated with the audience that was supposed to fall in love with it. Sixty-two percent of the survey respondents preferred apps to a voice activated assistant.

A part of the reason that people liked apps better controls. The app allows a person to retain a sense of control over their life that an AI directed assistant can take away from them. The ability to control at least part of the app resonates with people who want to maintain at least a semblance of control in their world.

Another part of the preference for apps is speed. Talking to a machine takes time. Your thumbs can actually out do any of the AI assistants as far as speed is concerned.

AI voice activated personal assistants have become increasingly more sophisticated at almost reading a person’s mind and preferences. Most people like to do their shopping, food selection, and more intimate searching without a second person being involved even if that person is just a bunch of electrons and circuits.

Having a servant is a hit for a while but the new wears off rapidly and most iPhone users in the study would prefer to do things with apps. The preference is based on the majority of privacy concerns.

Records of voice requests can last conceivably forever. The potential for damage to personal relationships is obvious. Damage to businesses and business relationships can cost companies their reputations and clients simply because so many people rely on their phones as storage devices for very sensitive information.

The study gave the insight to top iPhone app development companies and iPhone app developers based on real user's concerns and preferences. The major directions discovered are as follows.

1) Keep writing apps:
People prefer apps over voice control. Apps are simpler to write and involve fewer contract obligations to the companies that own the AI that runs the voice activated assistants.

The simple idea is to give the iPhone customer what they want.

The survey does not mean that a company should abandon development for AI voice activated assistants. These will be the masters of the market in time. The present market prefers apps. You build a client base for the future and a reserve of funds to develop apps for voice assistants.

2) Privacy:
Sixty-nine percent of the people who use iPhones are concerned with privacy. A person has their entire life on their phone. A lost phone that can be opened or a program that can be hacked can be a personal and business disaster.

You have to understand that the people who are writing programs to steal from your phone are working just as hard as the people who are writing apps that protect your privacy. This is a never ending app race that has your personal information as its target.

The company that writes the app that secures privacy on the iPhone to the possible degree is the company that has an almost limitless market. Once a company proves that their privacy app is the best they must constantly upgrade as new threats are developed.

3) Security:
Ransomware is the newest threat to business. The future holds a potential for a version of ransomware for an individual’s iPhone. Your entire life could be put on hold and held for ransom. You cannot communicate, buy anything, or socialize.

This concept is just one of many threats that make security apps a priority for iPhone users.

4) Power:
Users want apps that keep their batteries charged. The present desire for constant power supply is concerned with wireless charging, more durable changing without wires, and charging that provides higher levels of connectivity. The future of power apps will have to accommodate the needs of virtual reality and three-dimensional screens.

The study also included ideas about what iPhone users want and expect in the future.

1) Apps that replace ATM cards:
You shop with a phone app that is your credit card or debit card. A few banks are offering an app that allows you to use your phone to manipulate the ATM. You still have to have an ATM card.

Users are demanding an app that will totally replace the ATM card much like apps have replaced the credit card.

2) Phones that replace tablets:
Tablets have some program advantages over phones. Apps have been developed that allow a user to use most of the programs that a tablet uses on their phone. Cloud technology will produce a phone that can do everything that a tablet can do and store the data in the cloud.

3) Phones to replace laptops:
People expect their phones to be able to do all that a computer can do. The technology is available now. No company has yet successfully combined all of the pieces together to make a phone that has all of the power and storage capacity of a laptop.

The heart of this achievement will be a set of apps that connect all of the parts into a functional whole. One might expect this development to happen in five years at most. Customer demand is the driver.

4) No more car keys:
Car keys that are tied to the iPhone to prevent theft are available now. The electronics of car ignitions and theft deterrence devices are fairly simple. An app that works like a car key may already be in the works now. A person guards their phone much more than they do their keys.

These ideas are not far future concepts. One might ask where the app development will come from. One of the top iPhone app development sources is Indian app developers. The companies have a documented success rate and a library of innovative and phenomenally utilitarian apps. Indian app developers are ranked in the top three in the world as iPhone app developers.
